Happy Summer Everyone! I know it feels a little early, but I need to get a head start on some league housekeeping as I may be out of pocket for a few weeks due to some health reasons later this summer. And it will be just as the preseason is heating up, so I’m trying to be proactive here…
I am going to assume that all of my owners are returning for SPFL 2023 this fall. If you are not — first of all, how dare you?, and second, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can recruit a replacement.
As you may recall, we are implementing a new exciting wrinkle to our system this year, transitioning into a modified keeper league. Each team will have the option to “keep” up to two players that were drafted last season. The “cost” to keep that player will be one draft round earlier than they were selected last year (i.e., a fourth round selection will cost you your third round pick this season to keep said player). Players may only be kept a maximum of two years after their initial draft selection; both first round draft picks and waiver wire pickups are ineligible. If you have any questions, let me know.
Below you will find each team’s eligible “keeper” list with player name and draft cost to keep them. The deadline to declare your keeper intentions is Friday, August 18th. Please note this is a firm deadline so that I can do the pre-draft leg work prior to our draft on Sunday, August 27th at 2:00pm Eastern Time. Thanks and I hope everyone has a great summer!
