What a crazy week in the NFL. I’m out of all my survivor pools thanks to Cooper Rush and his magic arm. Tuanon Nation is building, but we’ll see what he’s made of this week. Improbable comebacks by the Dolphins, Jets, and Cardinals. Fun stuff all around, but not good for my DFS lineups.
In the SPFL, we, of course, have three unbeaten teams (the Bright 1s, Greased Lightning, and the Piranha Brothers) and have three winless squads (the Bitter Midgets, the No-Names, and Yesterday’s Corn). And six teams at .500. But, as we know from experience, things are only just beginning.
Greased Lightning 175.7 — Yesterday’s Corn 121.2: The Lightning’s Dynamic Duo at WR, Tyreek Hill (46) and Cooper Kupp (32.8), led to the top overall score this week while the Corn were led by Aaron Jones (33.5) and … Najee Harris (15.4).

Heath’s Heroes 129.1 — Ghost of Megatron 80.4: I guess I have to call this the skippity pap game of the week, although the Mighty Moops effort was pretty ugly this week, too. The Heroes clinched their win thanks to Buffalo and it’s D (32) and it’s QB (31.7). Megatron was led by Pat Mahomes (19.5), Deebo Samuel (15.1) and six starters in single figures.

Turtles 157.2 – Bull Rings 128.2: The Turtles were one of those fantasy owners that was glad Nick Chubb punched in that dooming late TD as he tallied 34 points and Kyler Murray cooked in the second half of his game on his way to 27.3 points. The Bull Rings had the league’s top individual scorer of the week, Lamar Jackson (47.5) and Drake London (24.6) leading the way.

Bright 1s 137.3 — Bitter Midgets 117: The Bright 1s picked up a nice win thanks to Jaylen Waddle (40.1) and the scary Jalen Hurts (37.1). The Midgets were led by Sun God St Brown (39.6), but were waylaid when Trey Lance snapped his ankle early in the game (2.8).

Thunder Monkeys 172.4 — Moops 103.9: The Monkeys peeled a banana of whoop *** on Mayberry this week, led by Stefon Diggs (46.8) and Mike Williams (25.3) while the Meager Moops had Amari Cooper (25.1), Joe Burrow (16.9), and five single figure starters.

Piranha Brothers 132.7 — No Names 127.7: The Game of the Week went Monty’s way with Rashod Bateman tallying 22.8 and Matthew Stafford chipping in with 20,8. The No Names were led by the Tampa D (32) and Devin Duvernay (23), but were doomed when Mike Evans elected to stand up for the Goat and was ejected after only 9 points.

Next Week
- Moops/Heroes
- No Names/Corn
- Midgets/Monkeys
- Bull Rings/Piranha Brothers
- Megatron/Bright 1s
- Lightning/Turtles
Per Shane’s recommendation, Mrs. Commish and I have started The Terminal List. We are three episodes into the 8 episode season and so far … I’m on the fence. More to come…
That’s about all I’ve got today, it’s been a rough week at work, but we have a great weekend of football, including some nifty college games on tap, too. Enjoy!
